- Crydda || reasonable comment from Martin. Prices atr totally unrealistic, especially greedy developers flat conversions, which are about 50% overpriced. - Martin || Property prices dont appear to be dropping at all in Ilfracombe, maybe its because the average wage in Ilfracombe is so high that people will buy at any price, or maybe its because Damien Hirst the local Butchers assistant has opened up a pub. Come on! - Crydda || It seems that vendors and estate agents in north Devon are still living in 'cloud cukoo land'. No wonder nothing is selling. Potential buyers are not interested in tiny 5% reductions, when the rest of the country is seeing falls of 15% plus and a continuing downward spiral. I guess it means that when the reality hits home, the market here will suffer an even sharper correction than elsewhere. I've heard people say "It won't happen here" or "N. - AP || Asking prices are only falling slightly, but sold prices are falling by much more. Compare the rightmove index (asking prices) to the land registry (or Halifax / Nationwide) to see what I mean.
