  • doh || What a pathetic reduction after all this time. It just goes to show that no realistic offers have been made during this time. Time to wake up and smell the Starbucks. -- left at Sun Sep 02 16:02:05 +0000 2007
  • zombie || doh-no.5, Irfon Bridge Close went for a thumping £295000 and the purchasers sold theirs for £168500. A new 3 bedroomed property with garage on Troed y Bryn is for sale at £195000 . People must have money to burn which probably explains the current property market. -- left at Thu Sep 27 15:44:09 +0000 2007
  • doh || There are currently 28 price drops in the Builth area. That tells you something is about to happen in the local property market. -- left at Wed Oct 10 10:29:35 +0000 2007
  • Prudence || No properties were recorded as being sold in the builth area last month and if you look at the 100 lowest priced properties on the market just nine have had offers made on them. Many properties have been on the market for three years or more. There is a property in garth road for sale at £178500 which was originally up at £195000 3 years ago. Work the valuation backwards and £150000 would have represented a good valuation in 2004.Luckily no one including myself took the bait. £45000 mortgage is £325 per month!!!! -- left at Thu Dec 13 11:46:29 +0000 2007
  • @@@ || In the current climate sellers who reduce their property asking prices less than 5% are going to get nowhere. Just look at the glut of properties and the lack of sales. -- left at Thu Feb 28 15:35:17 +0000 2008
  • twix || Just look at all those properties that have been on the market over 9 months despite some form of reductions.Of course the lists do not take into account all those sellers holding out for their original asking prices. -- left at Mon Apr 07 12:25:26 +0000 2008
  • @@@ || Six sold in April, two in May ands none in June. The market is headed for a very quiet time but so far there seems to be no panic selling which is a good point. -- left at Tue Jul 15 09:22:03 +0000 2008
  • Prudence || Results do take a while to be registered and given the current dire market the figures for LD2 are standing up well-7 for April.6 for May,3 for June and 3 for July. On the negative side there is a huge number of properties standing still on the market and it is difficult to see how these will be shifted unless prices are lowered to more realistic levels. The mortgage famine and the predictions for the economy do not help one bit. -- left at Sat Aug 30 20:53:20 +0000 2008
  • @@@ || All very quiet with just seven properties shown as sold during the last three months with two small properties going for 2006 valuations. -- left at Tue Sep 01 12:13:09 +0000 2009
  • @@@ || Of the 10 recorded sales in the last three months only one was sold in excess of £150,000. That tells us that the property market is as dead as it could be. -- left at Wed Oct 28 20:41:23 +0000 2009
  • George || With so many reductions and few sales, it begs the question, how honest are some agents being with their valuations? Are they using sold price data from the web and sound reasoning, or just pulling the wool over prospective vendors eyes in order to sign them up? -- left at Mon Jun 28 14:30:01 +0000 2010
  • @@@ || 5 recorded sales in Builth during the last three months=nothing last month. Prices are far too high for most people to consider buying. The isolated sales that do happen just show that there is no appetite to get involved in "chains" but until that happens then the market will stagnate for another year or two -- left at Wed Jul 07 19:48:59 +0000 2010
