- Michael S || I lived in Henley for two years. Status booster. House burgled once along with 7 others in the same road (Deanfield road). Car broken into or vandalised twice at the house and once at Henley station. Nice ambience early evening but dead at night and really no useful shopping apart from the excellent waitrose and a couple of restaurants. Quaint but useless rail service and you cant leave the car at the station because the zombies come out in the evening (vandalism). Suffers from standard British small town yobism Friday and Saturday nights so people stay home and dead in the week except for a few summer nights. My advice live in Reading and stay a couple of mights in a hotel in Henley. Reading doesnt have the snob appeal for friends and workmates but it doesnt have the stupid house prices either and is far better served for everything you will need when you are outdoors especially transport to everywhere. -- left at Tue Apr 21 05:12:01 +0000 2009
