And no im not making a hefty loss Mr no name im still in profit personally and ive just bought 2 flats with a 35% discount so im rather happy. Most of my btl are on trackers so im making more money now than ever so if thats what happens in a recession then bring it on!!! And yes prices will bounce back up and if you really think that they wont then you clearly no nothing about property!! -- left at Tue Nov 04 22:20:54 +0000 2008
  • || Sorry having been an analyst on investment opportunities in the UK, US, Asia and EME, for ths last 15 years I obviously know nothing of investments, my clients are pulling out of property as the returns are better elsewhere. One of them moved operations out of the South East of England, as it is simply too expensive - why employ someone on SE when you have to pay for them to have a house when they could afford a MUCH better one elsewehere. My company did exactly that when I left Maidenhead at the begining of the year, I only wish I had done so five years ago, I would have saved ofer £500,000 on my wages bill. My new place is half the price with much more space and a garden, my new golf club is forty per cent cheaper, as is my tennis club. None of my employees are intending to move back. One of my clients relocated over 500 jobs and those who were willing to move have actually improved the quality of their lives enormously. Do you know anything about the property bubbles in the rest of the world? I am not saying that property will not bounce back up, however my experience from the other times bubbles have collapsed - I am already seeing lenders move in for the kill when lending covenants are breached and have personally handled the rescue packages for four btl wannabes who found that their LTV percentages just didn't add up However, I bow to your expert knowledge maybe Maidenhead and Windsor will defy the rest of the property market you said the crash wouldn't last back in April - any sign of the crash ending yet? -- left at Mon Nov 10 13:25:57 +0000 2008
