  • alex || Prices do seem to be dropping quite dramtaically throughout the wakefield area. I popped into the estate agents this weekend and overhearing conversations on the phone - there seemed to be a lot of cancelled sales due to chains breaking... -- left at Tue May 29 10:59:31 +0000 2007
  • the lord mayors best friend || wakefield is still holding up pricewise.at the crossroads to the m1/m62 motorway,1 hour to hull.1 hour to liverpool 2 hours by train to london and regional airports all within an hours drive, why not come to wakefield. -- left at Fri Mar 13 15:48:49 +0000 2009
  • Francis Edwards || I've moved into the Wakefield area last August, got my £375k house at £305k when the bank valued it at £300k and now the bank is saying its worth £265k because they've dropped my 'available funds' by £14k to keep within the contract parts of the original mortgage. So from first hand experience I can see prices dropping but am still glad to be in the area opposite a lovely castle. Other houses I considered in same vicinity are still trying to get their unrealistic prices or have dropped from £315k to £250 or £450k to £400k. Its about time people realised premiums for premium areas don't exist for 1970's decor and state of repair houses and I'm not surprised houses will continue to not sell for even another year as many have been on the market for one year plus -- left at Wed Mar 18 15:06:04 +0000 2009
